About Me

Withdrew from ENG 215

My name is Mesann, I was born and raised in Arizona my whole entire life. My birthday falls in the month of July under the horoscope of Cancer. I am the eldest child of three, my middle brother, Rey is 19 and my youngest brother Jay is 15 now. Yes I am the only girl in my immediate family. I begged my mother as a child to give me a sister. She told me that three children were enough and that my female cousins were practically my sisters in our culture.

As a child growing up, I felt pressured to go into the medicine field by my mother. She always wanted me to become a Pharmacist. I originally attended the University of Arizona deciding that I wanted to major in Chemistry but going into the Pharmaceutical field. (Being a wildcat wasn't bad =P It was a great experience.) I than realized during my 2nd semester of college at UofA that I didn't want to become a Pharmacist. I than realized that I wanted to go into the Nursing field. My mother was upset when I told her I wanted to become a nurse. Though she learned to accept it now, from time to time she would try to get me back on the Pharmacits path. I chose to attend the Arizona State University because I loved the Nursing program that they had to offer there rather than the one UofA had.

I like to spend time with the family, friends, and my boyfriend. I make trips to Tucson every other weekend. I wish gas was a cheaper =( it costs me about $60ish to fill up a tank. As a child I used to travel a lot to different places like Australia, Canada and other states in the US. As I got older the only place I've been is Hawaii and California,

  1. Hi Mesann

This is an amazing blog background - sheep! bows! pink! Your introduction is wonderful. I can relate to the family pressure to pursue a certain profession (in a family of doctors and engineers, you could imagine how "black sheep" it was that I chose to become a writer and English professor!). Your personal experiences will be sure to inform your thoughts and views, and I look forward to reading future posts by you. Enjoy the blog. :-) It's great to meet you!
